If you can move out to relatives for the duration of the extension build, it will take less time (£).
We did similar recently and we're at about 50k currently.0 -
I would do any structural work (leaks/cracks/roofing) and electrical work first, though this seems unlikely due to the age of the house.

if the structural stuff involves putting beams in expect cracks in your first floor plaster work, no point painting it all to then re do it in a years time...

I'm currently doing up an old house from top to bottom. I would start with the bedroom (somewhere to sleep and relax) and then do the extension (I imagine there will be a lot of dust).
I have left the bathroom until last, mainly because it's a good place to wash paint brushes and store DIY stuff, since I will eventually replace the entire thing. If the toilet is usable and you can shower, I'd strongly advise doing the same! It also means that if anything else crops up in the meantime (which of course it has...) I can use some of the money set aside for this and delay it a bit.0
