  • I ordered a QE II 90th birthday coin from The London Mint Office , stating that I did not want any of the other coins of the set , I returned the initial individually numbered coin along with the cheap card collectors card , and much to my surprise they did send me just the coin I originally ordered , phoning me the next day (the reason for the call I can`t recall) and I payed online by card . During the said phone call from them , I also queried the other coin I had ordered and she said she would look into it and let me know. I received an email sometime after the call, which said it was about to be despatched , I received a package few days later containing a cheap collection album and surprise surprise , no replica coin plus an invoice for the replica coin , ok, only £2.50 ish , but i`m not going to pay for something I ordered but haven`t received ! If I have phoned them once, I have phoned them 20 times , everytime there system tells me there is no one available to take my call. My worry is that they have my card details so could possibly debit my account for the £2.50 and possibly more . After Googling The London Mint Office to see if they had maybe gone into admin or something similar , and then reading all the bad reports about this compant I panicked and I went straight to my bank and explained my problem , the bank rep printed off my recent statements and found the one payment taken out for the first coin, but there has been nothing taken out for the missing second coin (yet) Bank told me to keep an eye on my banking activities , and any other withdrawals not authorised by me would be returned by the bank and the offender would be investigated . So I will now keep an eye on my banking activities , but I think i`m also going to change my card, as the details could be sold on ??????? Any opinions?

Even worse they have been members since 2014 and this is their first post and there is a long running thread on here somewhere with many more unhappy customers than just the few on this thread

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2018327

    And this one https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1180975

There are others on the search results too. Why wait almost two years and then just pick one thread to respond in?
