Currys price match

Hi ,
I bought a TV from currys 7 days ago and upon checking today they've knocked £10 off the price Ive paid.
They do a price match thing - so can I get them to price match themselves and get that £10 back?
Thanks

if it had gone up £10 today , would you be rushing there to give them £10
price match (at the time bought) against a carefully selected set of retailers , who rarely discountSave a Rachael

That wasn't my question, from the currys website.
"we'll match it – even up to 7 days after purchase." so not at time bought at all.0 -
yup , but list the companies that they will match against , is currys on that list?
their wording
"If you find Argos, Asda, John Lewis, Tesco or AO.com has the same product at a cheaper price, we’ll match it - even up to 7 days after purchase."
very selective , they do not include themselves in that list
so NO they will not price match themselvesSave a Rachael

Why buy from Currys anyway? It does not make sense!0

Just hope it doesn't go wrong!0

I will be looking for a TV myself soon, but we like to actually see and choose the set we want. So we tour local retailers and leave a large Curry's to last. That way we can make a decision based upon reality, and find the chosen model wherever has the best deal.
I will want it mounting on the wall, and both Curry' and John Lewis do this. So that is a part of "the best deal."
Before anyone tells me that I could do that myself, no, I can't. We are a disabled couple living in sheltered accommodation.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

You really don't have to have the TV wall mounted by the retailer who sold you the set..
Far cheaper to get a local odd jobber...0 -

No it is not: I checked. Blanket statements such as that are often inaccurate.
I have already had quotes and been offered deals from 3 TV companies.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

Obviously checking with the wrong odd jobbers...0

The price from currys to wall mount seems pretty good, aa long as you don't buy the bracket there.
But word of warning John lewis etc sub it out. We were offerd the work doing it for Tesco john lewis and a few others.
The actual end installation company gets peanuts and are not installing under there own name so are not very motivated to excel and can try and add extras to bump the price.
Try a local aerial install company via the cai website.0
