We are surely not economical when it comes to water. There is someone at home the whole day. Considering that I think we are doing great with gas and electric. Switching for the last couple of years has helped. I was paying about £1200/year to npower before I started to switch.

"£1 a day is nothing" maybe so, but if you are working class struggling to make ends meet then this £1 a day here, 50p a day there all adds up at the of the month. I bet these folk walking 10 miles a day with a pot of water on their head don't have all the bills and taxes we have.

I agree, a £1 here and 50p there does add up. My point is that its essential we humans have access to clean water to survive and £1 a day is a small price to pay for something so essential to be pumped directly to our house which we can drink immediately. The purchasing power of a single £1 is not very much (perhaps a loaf of bread), and so spending your £1 on water that can sustain your life would seem to be a good idea.

As I tried to illustrate in my previous posts, I used to moan about everything but now I try to be positive and put my life in the context of all the 7 billion on this planet. Hence I feel lucky that for about £1 i can have clean water with very little effort
I have a tendency to mute most posts so if your expecting me to respond you might be waiting along time!
