Travel insurance for trip in July 2017

Apologies if this is the wrong forum.
Can anybody tell me where to get family travel insurance for a trip that's over 12 months away? Can't seem to find anything. Tia

    Just get an annual policy.

That could be a very expensive way of doing it if OP has no plans to travel in the meantime, especially if they are going to the USA and/ or have pre existing conditions.

OP if the online quote tools are not giving prices then I'd call a few insurers directly.

I've just done a search on money supermarket and got lots of results. Is there anything out of the ordinary about your trip?

No nothing out of the ordinary but it keeps saying I can't start insurance for a trip that's more than 12 months away and as for annual insurance: that will be up before we go??

Then you just renew it for another year.

However, as has been pointed out, depending on your circumstances, it might not be the cheapest option.
