woodwarm foxfire or morso squirrel 1430

I'm looking at getting a multifuel stove in my new place. There is no gas here, and there is an electric boiler running on economy 10 electric. I'm just looking to run this instead for heating for now, so I'm not tied to clock watching all the time for the cheap economy 10 to kick in. I think it would take too much work at this point to look at putting a boiler in as there is no plumbing near the chimney to connect it too

I've had someone round to check the chimney yesterday, and they said I don't need a liner, but I'm mainly limited on height for which stove I can have.

I like the look of the woodwarm foxfire or morso squirrel 1430, I'm leaning a bit more to the squirrel just as I like the fact - rightly or wrongly - that it has a separate door for access to the ash pan.

I've not had a stove before so am a newbie, but does anyone have experience with either of these, or can think of any other models below 560mm I can look at?

Also any thoughts on hearth materials? I'm just thinking with a black stove and cream carpet having a slate or dark coloured one would dominate the room too much.

Both very good quality stoves. If you're planning on burning wood only, then access to the ash pan isn't a major issue, as you're better leaving the ash to build up to cover the grate bars anyway. We empty our ash pan once a year when I give the stove a going over after the heating season. Rest of the time we just take a couple of inches out of the firebox once every week or two, but leave the grate covered.
