^^ totally disagree with this ..

I assert, that for most people, they want to take a snip of a page to forward to their friends, or cut out a picture to use in an email or something similar ..

I put it to you, that having a scalable html page saved is of fairly limited use to most people. As they would only open that and then snip a piece out of it to save in picture format anyway !

But for almost all people almost all the time, saving the original source image is more use.
Don't speak for 'almost all people'.

Just go to the Site Feedback board for instance and see that html would be of no use there.

Personally, I do dozens, of screenshots for my matched betting activity, and capturing images of parts of webpages is exactly what I need, not html.

I have recently changed from using Chrome on my Vista 32 bit laptop to Yandex browser and it is fast and efficient, crisp and clear.
I like the fact that the screen capture is so much simpler then the snipping tool, but, when I save the capture, it whizzes off somewhere and I can't find it. Ideally I would like it to go to my start-up page.

If you ever uninstall Yandex be sure to use Revo or similar tool as default uninstaller left 181 Folders and 2717 files.to be removed.

I'm sure there is a reason for your info and have noted it, just in case. Presumably it leaves stuff behind/
