Yeah! Give us a link.... Let's all have a little fun on a Friday afternoon.0

Everyone form an orderly line!
@Sarah - yes we did 'love' it at the time, but our new place is better and we love it more (we better had, for the extra we paid over the previous property...)
It's not going to be openly advertised until we tell them we are not interested. So, until we've had our fun, it won't be on rightmove.
When it does go up, I'll post the link and let you good people have a nose around...0 -

Only thing I can think is that your solicitor told them, because EAs do have contact with the solicitors for both parties.
When I informed my solicitor that we were changing the property we were purchasing, I told them that we didn't want to inform the other party about our decision.
Our solicitor said that while he couldn't lie, he wouldn't volunteer the information to the other side if they didn't ask.0 -

Me too! I was just trying to puzzle out how the property had risen in price since an offer in April!
Yeah - the original offer of £250k was accepted in April 2007.
It took until November 2007 for us to 'quietly' walk away and start purchasing the property we have now got.
One last update - our original mortgage offer had technically expired in November 2007, but I think what young people call a "big up" is due to Alliance and Leicester. They were happy to extend our mortgage offer when I wrote to them explaining our situation (sob story). We were allowed to keep the same 4.99% fixed-rate deal until next April. It isn't for the full 2 years, but unbeatable none the less...0 -
