I must admit my family tree is very mixed with a bit of everything :o :rotfl:it's like the UN as I have family from all over the world:rotfl::cool:

Apart from knowing I am about 1/8th Scots I know very little about my family, we seem to be British back to goodness knows when. I am too mean to pay out for family history sites and the grandparents were never forthcoming with any information so I have no idea

Not many British born go to the school but why all the kids cant celebrate Queens birthday I don't know but can guess.

Its time to go now cya all laters

But isn't that even more reason to celebrate? They live in our country, they should jolly well learn about it. Celebrating the Queen's official birthday (and The Duke of Edinburgh's 95th) is British.

You are paying for the name with Gucci but there isn't necessarily anything wrong with that. Didn't Martin say something along the lines that MSE isn't about getting the cheapest option, it's about getting what you want at the best possible price. I'd say 20% off is a pretty good deal, unless anyone knows better...

I remember years ago in some of the other threads I used to frequent people slamming me for having that exact same mindset....and I have a friend who on the face of it should be a kindred spirit but actually she is a scrimper too far even by my standards.

In some ways thats why I did connect with the elite as I think we are a lot more focused on getting a deal rather than getting the cheapest if that makes sense.

HG...I've been meaning to say and keep forgetting that next time your parents in Law need some decorating count me in....the teas sound wonderful!

Most monarchies have mixed heritage, mainly because of the habit of marrying between royal families to avoid wars/take over countries etc.

How many of us can swear to be totally British back to the dark ages and beyond?

It is the institution that is British, we do pomp and circumstance better than anyone else in the world :D

Very true. And not forgetting a good cup of tea.

Wish Di was sitting next to me ....I'm hovering over Gucci bracelets wondering which is the better value.......or am I paying for the name:o

Gucci Toggle heart bracelet 18cm..... £125 in Ernest Jones. I can get at 20% off......what do you think Di....

Sorry I fell back to sleep. I think you have excellent taste as I have the necklace and bracelet but just a circle not the heart. Yes good value @£100 the only other option I would have considered is goldsmiths if you have any Mr t vouchers.
We don't sell it otherwise I'd have got you a deal with the boss ;) x

These might also be on a TMF if you can find the flashed packs....although I must confess to not doing BE try me free's as they are a bit hit and miss on paying out

But if theres a coupon involved it might make it a bit more of an incentive.
