Found two ripe ones on my strawberry patch. Am I the winner? :rotfl:

I think you are gocat, have you got a pic for us. :T

Ours are a bit shaded now from the raspberries so will take longer to redden.

Tatton - the food Festival weekend is 15,16, 17 July do we will def be going to that, not sure what day. I am wondering if I can buy tickets from Livingsocial but then if I get tickets by other means I could cancel - I don't mind having livingsocial credit which is how they generally do refunds. We went I think either the 1st or 2nd year it was on, thinking it would be rubbish but actually it was excellent - love the food festivals and various shows and wish we could get to more of them.

If anyone comes across competitions or prize draws for tickets let me know, it's always better if you have free tickets. Actually we need 4 just incase eldest son and his BF might also want to go as they went last year.

Tatton flower show - love this one but I've just checked the price of tickets £26 on the gate  so an expensive day out £52 worth especially as I don't really think OH likes gardening - he can do the manly stuff like lawns, hedges, and hole digging but the planting, dividing, sowing, weeding and design bits he has no interest in whatsoever ...

So I really really need to win tickets to this if everyone can keep a look out. There are so few Tatton ticket draws around now and so many more people doing comps ...

I've won tickets a few times in the past. One year we were getting ready to set off and I stood on a wasp so I was hobbling around all day :D

Tatton is the other side of CHESHIRE to us, about an hour away and we generally go for opening time as our fabulous bit if the M6 be ones a car park that week

Keep an eye on the local press for ticket comps, I won tickets to Cosford Air Show one year and a gardening lecture with Pimms on the terrace at Tatton the same summer. (Had to give that one away though as we were at a wedding, where happily we also got Pimms on the terrace.:D)

Ludlow Food Festival is also excellent if in range - think it's summer's end or autumn time.

I was standing quietly by the wall trying to be invisible but then someone notices I've not joined in :rotfl:

With so many of the North West coven amongst the elite its funny we don't all trip over each other more often - nearly every week one or more of us is in Liverpool, Chester, Wrexham or one or other of the big shopping centres etc

23rd - I know its voting day and I will be hounding OH to go into work late so we get the wretched job done and out of the way.

So I have my train passes - my only issues are with making sure I've got booked seats especially since the last time we went to Euston we were squashed into a freezing cold space by the door for an hour and a hour.
OH tried to book me seats for this weeks jaunt yesterday only to be thwarted by some jobs worth (probably an ex mr !!!!!! till girl) at our stations CS desk who insisted she had to have sight of OHs travel pass - OH was in uniform with his ID badge and all of his usual ID cards but not his travel pass as he does not need it on work days, OH who has had an office on the same station for decades and who probably was working before this upstart was even born ...
OH has to take me in later to get the seat booked but I will later be venting my wrath on the Virgin trains twitter feed ..

So with my travel pass I can be a will of the whisp and in theory go anywhere within reason - Birmingham and Manchester an hour away, Chester 20 mins, Liverpool and Shrewsbury about 40 mins, Euston about an hour and a half ... and all points onwards in most directions - hate bus replacement services, having to change trains 3 times, stations so far out of towns you need to get a taxi to get into town, prefer lifts to escalators, hate the tube but I can cope with it under supervision ...

What are the chances of you meeting us on the 23rd?? If someone came and picked you up/dropped you off? You are not that far away at all. I know you don't drive but I'd REALLY LOVE TO MEET YOU :o you can say no but we have enough resources between our bunch of ladies to make it possible if you feel up for it. I thought of this today.

I also wondered if you are going to Tatton flower show this year as I am :D

    Morning All,

Goblins are good from a shop just after 8 this morning.

Would be good if it continues comparing but it could be risky now.

Is there anything else to buy on an AvM shop to check if the updates have taken place, I can go out again in my lunch hour to test.

Yes we have had airshow tickets a few times, quite a few airshows we have been to over the years before they became over priced and over commercial - Sleep was one, also Shropshire, we went to the first few when it was more like a friends and family day out ..

Quite a few food festivals are in September eg York and our own local one. Ludlow is local to us and one I really want to go to but OH has an aversion to Ludlow as he had to attend an inquest there (long story but you have to face your demons)

I have not even got tickets yet for the Good Food show at the NEC later this month, still hoping to win tickets for that as well ..

Just a reminder that the 5 for £6 frozen deal ends in Waitrose today. Wish I had discovered this really good deal sooner.

The signage for the offer has not been anywhere in the two stores I have been in but fortunately Zippy spotted it :T

    http://www.waitrose.com/shop/OfferDetails?offerId=12780792

I just managed to grab 5 more of the burgers and used a shell points voucher so only had to pay £3.50 :money:

If anyone still has the free butchers dog food on COS, the Lean and Tasty chunks in jelly are £4 in T but compare to £2.50 in M. I bought them this morning and I don't even have a dog :rotfl::rotfl:

Well bang goes my cutting the grass before the storm idea. Mum phoned at 9 to say carer had been and gone and now mum decides she wants to open the patio door to let the cat out but she cant stand for long and having trouble opening the door. So thats cue for get here asap. Carer had asked mum if she wanted a lunch time visit and mum's said to her my daughter (me muggins) might be here then  Luckily carer said will pop in anyhow. Phew, so can pop home at 12 and hopefully get some jobs done. Wish I could get my mum to just say yes please to them when they ask if she wants a lunch time visit.
Then its a case of waiting for mum to phone again to say lunch time visit has been done then me going back to mums again till sister gets home at 6.30. Might have time to pop into A's then to get more fish :D
Well bang goes my lunchtime cutting of the lawn. Managed to get mum into her garden and she looked so peaceful sitting in the sun, so cancelled the lunchtime carer and did some gardening at hers. Maybe it will still be dry when I get home this evening at 6.30 and can cut the grass then. Not looking likely though is it :o Can then pop to A's probably just before midnight :eek::eek::eek: to get some fish :rotfl:
