My excuse is its anniversary weekend....
DS I think is around somewhere..least he's not said he's going out so I guess he may join us for tea then retreat....
Happy weekend all....
I'm celebrating mr TM still being in one piece after being thrown off his bike racing last night. His skin suit is ripped to pieces and he's bruised all over but hey.....life is sweet. Been into Durham and drank too much:D
Ate too much too. Mr TM had a burger and I had a healthy aubergine and chickpea tagine. Still hungry when I got in so had a big jam sandwich and a packet of emergency Tomato crisps:DTo do is to be. Rousseau

It is ridiculous weather for June isn't it. My ds said that he read that it was colder here the other day than it was on Christmas Day, don't know where he got that info from
I am laughing so much at this:rotfl:
Mr TM and I are enjoying the Beatles and discussing side boobs.

Had a fab people watching night:)
Tanned young ladies with white hands:D students in tiny kilts and dr Martins, the foursome from Liverpool, males wearing red trousers with pink checked shirt and wives in classy black trouser suits with Jackie O sunglasses perched on their coiffed curls, a gaggle of teachers "pro rata" ering ever other sentence:rotfl:.
What about the monobrow red heads in culottes....I wanted to sing "Valerie"......such a great night...the singer in the champagne bar doing Duffy.....over sized plastic shoes....who would have believed they would look so good on stick legs:DTo do is to be. Rousseau

Laura Ashley bargain from flea at so very pleased.
Really a question for nannylala ( if TM hasn't been too generous with the brandy). Never really painted furniture and gentleman I bought this from said it had been treated with oil but I can't remember what.
Does this mean I just have to give it a very good rub down with sandpaper before painting. I want a slightly rustic look when I have finished but also needs to be stain resistant so I am hoping to give it a light rub on edges after painting then seal with a Matt varnish.
Am I on the right path please.
Going to be hard work getting it into garden on my own to rub down so don't want to do it wrong. Will be looking for a sea blue azure type colour.
Hope all are well.
I saw tweets was holding a party in her back garden yesterday and a ferret was involved:eek:
No shopping here but a very productive clear out and fb selling has been going on here.
My bath saga has been completed. I have given up. Plastic-surgeon is coming Monday to repair crack at the costly sum of £304:eek:
Given in as I just can't face mess of a new bath.
Builder coming tomorrow to see about a loft ladder and a tree surgeon is due to quote over the weekend.
Big burst of activity as I want to get books away in attic and in the winds the oak tree has left a lot of branches in the garden.
V x
I think google will be your friend here, but i suspect you will need to give it a good rub down and start with an oil based primer. Should imagine you can use most things after that. Purely guesswork though. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
TM I'm glad mr TM is okay although maybe a little sore xOne cannot change the past, but one can ruin the present by worrying over the future.0
