"The S-word:D:D" - that's a phrase I never say!:D:rotfl: (Just forced on here, as they won't let me write the word.)
If it's got lots of swearing in it, then I definitely want to see it:D - it's probably got more "context" in it than that though, not just a swear-fest (but nothing wrong with that IMO - and enjoyable in the right places;)).
I nowadays say "about twelve o'clock", rather than "twelve o'clock, er... yuck, ish:eek:".Savvy, you really dont want to know what is going through my head right now, I think only PD would understand

Oh I definitely want to know if someone says I really don't want to!:D Reading that Urban Dictionary again?:D:D
I always want to know. Especially if someone wants to keep some information away from me. I'm an Asperger - I have a thirst for knowing information. It's my life-blood. (And my downfall as well:rotfl::rotfl:.)
I definitely want to know - because it can never be worse than anything I could imagine instead. Don't tell me something - leave to my imagination, my imagination will come up with far worse than whatever it was you didn't tell me. I know that from experience - censored versions of songs. Whenever I eventually - too late! - hear the uncensored version - which of course the censored one always makes me want to find out - the uncensored version always turns out - if it's not the same as the censored one - to have less severe lyrics in it than the censored version suggested to me. The 'censored' versions are supposed to be "sanitised". They never do that for me. They always turn out worse than what the original was! I'm honestly amazed that some people report hearing an original, that they got after hearing a censored version, and saying that they were shocked by the original. For me, it's always the other way around. (If anything, I'm shocked by how much less severe their song originally was, before the censor made it worse and far more explicit. But, of course, making it worse can be far better in some places ("so bad it's good") - for those who want it (to seem) more explicit, the radio version is better - but it can be just plain even worse in others!) Maybe people generally don't hear it from the censored version - but I always do! The music artists always turn out to be saying less severe in the 'real' version than what I imagined from the radio version. (It then actually paints them in a good light, as they aren't saying anything as 'bad' as I imagined. Perhaps this is the opposite of the intention - the censorship is supposed to be disapproval but in fact makes me support the artist more and especially when they aren't swearing as bad as they do in the radio edit.) Sometimes, I'm disappointed - and so wanted the lyric to be what the radio edit gave me. I then prefer radio version (for listening to entirely alone) as that's ruder! Akon's Soul Survivor was an example - it turned out to be the "gun" in his draws. I was so disappointed. Radio version, it really sounds like something else:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
I've just got a rude, corrupted mind, that's all it is!:D It was corrupted long before the Urban Dictionary.:)
I'd better add a money-saving related thing and pretend this post is to do with MSE:rotfl:. Namely, it's not money-saving if you are going to buy separately two versions of a song (that aren't for example on the same CD - does anyone buy any of those anymore anyway?) - it can be expensive buying both explicit version (that's less severe) and "clean" version (that's more explicit) of an album. I think the "cleans" are generally for America - usually those in the UK are explicits (some of which aren't even explicit).0 -

"Mama, just ****ed a man. Put a *** against his head, pulled my ****** now he's ****."
Censored to remove all violent content.
It's pure hypocrisy in my view. They never censored classics such as Bohemian Rhapsody, yet they target other music, I think based on race and because an older generation disapproves. So it's all ageist and racist:eek:. The censorship is racist.
There wasn't even any violent content in Bohemian Rhapsody or in any other song about putting a *** in your draws. I cannot detect any. Okay, the song is about killing someone and putting a gun against their head and pulling your trigger, but it's clearly not meant to be imitated and no-one has ever done so as a result of listening to this widely-played uncensored song as far as I am aware. It isn't sung aggressively and there's no sounds of people being killed, so has no violent content.
I would like to hear a classic like Bo Rhap. in censored form though. It would sound worse (and therefore better?). Certainly, the "****ed a man" - I read [reed] that as worse and would likely hear it as worse too.
And all that unacceptable daytime TV content - such as the airing of the Bond film and song The Man with the Golden ***. I jest. But, as that isn't censored, why censor another song with the same word? I can see no censorship according to context: one song I heard, censored, the lyric was "put your guns away" [my emphasis]. So, presumably, we have got to get our guns out as it's unacceptable, clearly, to put them away?!?:rotfl: It did sound worse, I thought it was something far worse, because of how it sounded. And then - and I never managed to track down the song or ever heard the uncensored version - I realised what it was saying - so, I've got the 'harmful' violent message anyway (which isn't, as it's about putting a gun, or maybe guns, away - makes no difference if it was singular or plural as that's all they took away), only that I got it via some worse thought via the radio version. Maybe it's supposed to provoke us to think about these things? Maybe that's the aim of it? Anyway... just my musings over things again. It bears no relation to context or otherwise, it's done on an utter whim, as a lyric about putting guns away was one-word altered in sound (hardly censored as the message got through to me).
You got me onto a hobby-horse here:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. So, I'll move on to do the Cow & Gates (or maybe Cows & Gates?) as I'm currently "censoring" them from you, effectively, by not posting the details of them onto my list post on here. I'll go and do that as soon as I get round to it (as usual:D - person with Asperger's diverted via irrelevancies first:cool::rotfl:).
One final thought: I got that "guns" message very clearly. If it's clear to me - a person with Asperger's, for whom things need to be very clear indeed, then it must still be very clear even in altered sound form. You'd have thought I'd require direct and clear communication: but I can still get implication and it's clear enough to me, with no real doubt at all as to what was meant (the only doubt was over whether it was the singular or the plural - which, given the context (maybe something I might not get:rotfl:), made no real difference). (Indeed, I probably consider far more implications and possible meanings to things than many people do - and therefore end up going via far "worse" things even if only to rule them out as unlikely possibilities along the way, before finally deciding on one thing that I think they meant - and then, if I find the uncensored version, find out that it's something wholly innocuous and not on a level at all that I had, prior to that, concluded it was.)0 -
So, in short, tell me exactly what you mean - otherwise I will assume you mean something far beyond what you ever do, take it the wrong way and start quarrelling with you over it. All that hurt, harm and offence - could just be avoided if you said exactly what you meant!:rotfl:
That wasn't a request to dave btw, it was just me stating a point:cool:.
And then, I read [reed] elsewhere someone's advice as to what you're supposed to do if something is unclear and of course I take it literally. "Seek clarification" they say. So, I'm supposed to write to those radio stations and ask them to clarify precisely what their songs mean am I?!?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:* That's what the person with Asperger's is supposed to do and will probe endlessly into anything, especially if it's embarrassing:o:o:rotfl:. Of course, I know better. But - dear me. If I took what everybody said literally, that's where I'd end up! So, I no longer know what they mean when they say "seek clarification":rotfl:. Didn't really mean to seek clarification on every occasion then? So, yet again, some unspecified exemptions where their what purports to be advice does not apply!
If they'd said "Seek clarification - except in circumstances which I haven't thought about in which it might not be appropriate to seek clarification", then they would have given correct advice. However, apart from people normally not writing that way because people generally are not accurate, :rotfl:I'd then be asking them to clarify what they meant by "appropriate", when that applies and when it does not and what situations they meant when they said it might not be "appropriate" (whatever that means:rotfl:). And why haven't you thought about them? Why not?:p:rotfl: Are you some sort of incompletist that doesn't consider what it is that they are writing or thinking? Why haven't you thought about those circumstances? The person with Asperger's would!
I do like to pin people down sometimes (not literally:eek:) and extract a "confession" that undermines almost everything they've previously said:D. I know - I'm smug again!:D:D:D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: But, it's good fun sometimes:eek::rotfl:.
One thing you 'learn'/get to understand with a person with Asperger's is never to be wrong, because you will get pulled up over it and they will be obstinant in their pursuit of the truth. (Or at least it is somewhat with me - and I'm not being difficult - I'm trying to help (believe it or not) and get to the truth.)
But, I am a perfectly pleasant person. Honest, I am:). Tell me something that's the truth, or convince me with real evidence, and I will immediately cave in and accept it. And it's also my obstinance, my persistence that, hopefully, gets me those, in the end, correct prices at M:).
I think we learn to button our lips sometimes. But, that doesn't mean the 'problem' (as I see it) goes away. It means I sit back, from afar, watching what you are doing lead to inevitable failure. If only people didn't think they knew best... (But then perhaps I'm wrong and I can learn on that score too. Because sometimes I think I know best and, perhaps sometimes I don't and maybe I'm wrong:think:!)
* (I think it's usually pretty clear in any event - and often that's the problem!)0 -
D'you know - I feel like going and watching some really good film now with lots of swearing in it! Or some really "nasty" (which isn't!) rap song or something like that. I want them angry, annoyed and totally effing and blinding at everything throughout. I'll survive:D. I'll see you later:T:wave:.
Anything that someone else does not want has got to be good! I'll come back laughing and much released and relieved! Very therapeutic:D:rotfl::).0 -
Somehow, I've landed on here (warning: may contain language that might be very funny):

I notice how they apologise any time anyone says anything that's remotely funny. And then they say they'll take it out of the I-player - spoilsports!:D:rotfl:0 -
