We're tentatively thinking a kitchen revamp will be our next job although we'll need to save up a bit first. Also need a break from the house being all over the place - about five years should just about do it0

Tiny is that in Turkey ..if so my Sister and Brother are there and having a great time it is up in the mountains ..I have been getting daily videos of them and feel like I am there with them :rotfl::rotfl:
Yes it is Turkey and lots of the hotel rooms have views of the mountains.
It was such a good deal, and all inclusive. :beer:0 -

I've got " how do you solve a problem like Maria?" Going round in my head:rotfl:It really was quite surreal. She also parked very badly, car all over the pavement.

None for me TM.
I have put back on a lb from all my overindulging last week. Think I am going to have to start running like you.
Did anyone watch lose weight for love that was on earlier today DD2 was watching it, very impressed that after 10 weeks the lady managed to run a half marathon. Just shows what willpower does.
I can't believe I can run TS:) Every time I go out now I go a little further. I went out with a friend this morning and we walked and jogged but I could have done the whole length of the seafront. It's great feeling the wind on your face.
Another friend who I go running with on a Saturday has signed up for a 10 K run in July. And I know she will do it:T I'm just trying not to overdo it as my joints ache.
I'm so pleased your kitchen is all coming together. Won't be too long now:)To do is to be. Rousseau

I think I can only cope with one lot of renovations a year.:rotfl:
Mr TS is already asking what the next job will be and this one isn't even finished.
Our room is in desperate need of redecorating but we also need new windows in the bedrooms and lounge. And I feel that the windows should be done before the decorating but don't think I can cope with another upheaval this year.
And I need to do lots of feng shui first, don't know if you saw the pic from under my bed the other night. I really must get rid of loads before we even think about it.0 -

She was probably spooked out by the crazy woman with painted hair peeping out from behind the curtains:rotfl:To do is to be. Rousseau

Hornetgirl I read your post earlier about the price of the house near you, DD1 and her BF went to look at a 2 bed rabbit hutch yesterday £265,000.
It was far too small with a little one. The second bedroom was 6'6 x 6'6 and it had 2 doors to it one from lounge and one into shower room that was between the 2 bedrooms. This bedroom had nothing in it either so it was difficult to imagine anything fitting in.
The lounge had front door, archway to kitchen and the 2 bedroom doors in it so no room for a decent sized sofa or anything else for that matter. It's such a shame everything seems to be just out their reach that is suitable.
School catchment is also a problem as some slightly cheaper flats have come up but the school there is OFSTED inadequate. And it is too far from the stations for her BF. At the moment it is a 5 minute walk to the school. Luckily they have a very nice landlord but it would be much better if they were buying their own as their outgoings would be less.0 -
