The T+Cs are not that clear but has anyone been successful with this.
I've got a quote from omega travel for Finnair flights which are a partner of BA and the flights are operated by BA. If I go to the BA website to book the exact same flights (but this times its listed as BA), its £200 more.
I'd rather book via BA to be honest. I know you generally still get your air miles etc but sometimes its faff.
BUT, previuous experience has shown its not easy to get BA to pay up under their price promise.

Just one of the many companies that skyscanner.net searches. Not tried direct on finnair website.
BUT the same applies surely. Its a booking for a Finnair flight operated by BA, travelling on the same plane as if I'd booked via ba website for a BA flight.0 -
Flights operated by partner do not qualify for the best price guarantee. From the T&C:
" Flights on Sun-Air of Scandinavia, codeshare and alliance airlines, and any journey where the booking is made up of two or more carriers are not eligible for the BPGR"0 -

It's not remotely a "faff" to get your airmiles if you book via a travel agent. They'll give you a code to log into the BA/Finnair website and you can add/change frequent flier details just like you could if you booked direct.
The only reason to not use a travel agent is because if you need to change flights etc. you have to deal with them, not the airline directly. It adds hassle and most likely fees.
If it's the same price on the Finnair website book there. If it's significantly cheaper on Omega I'd book there, with the caveat that most people here recommend you don't use those small agencies on Skyscanner etc. as they can be unreliable. I've saved hundreds by doing so however so it's up to you - though I'd only do so if you have the money to cover another ticket. Sometimes these firms sell tickets that don't exist then can take several weeks to refund the money (though that's only happened to me once - with a 99p ticket). If you have to wait for the refund before you can re-buy it elsewhere the price could jump.0 -

But its not operated by a partner - the flight is OPERATED by BA just booked with Finnair.0 -

So are they reputable or do they do the 'sorry the price has changed' and 'seat block price rise' tricks?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

As your opening post states"BA Price Promise - good for codeshare flights?", then no, the price promise doesn't apply."Flights on Sun-Air of Scandinavia, codeshare and alliance airlines, and any journey where the booking is made up of two or more carriers are not eligible for the BPGR"0 -
The flight number has to be the same as the one you booked via BA.com. Assuming the Finnair flights (operated by BA) have an AY (Finnair) flight number, a claim would not meet the T&Cs.0
