Reasonable for gardener to dispose of waste soil?

Hi guys
So 3 weeks ago we had a guy pull up our (awful) turf lawn and rotavate it and sow new grass seed.
Yesterday we came to put our green bin out (which had been in the garden all the time) to find he'd filled it halfway with the leftover soil (it's one of the large size green bins so it's pretty hard to move now!)
Issue is now the council will not collect it as you can't put soil in the garden waste bins...
Would it be unreasonable to ask the gardener to help get rid of it now somehow? Or any suggestions what to do with it...?
I don't really know what's usually done in these situations
Thanks!

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

When I had my lawn re-laid they cleared the site of all offcuts etc.0

he would have to pay to dispose of it (trade waste) and would pass that cost on to youI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

I didn't... stupid now I realise!
Thanks for the replies guys0 -
I know someone who is a professional gardener and he always removes all the garden waste.
I would have said it is not acceptable to have put this in your garden waste bin but what can you do about it so long after.0 -

Yeah, we just haven't bothered to take the bin out until yesterday... our own fault I realise.
Ah well - life is too short to get het up about these things!
We'll see what we can do

Best bet is get some rubble sacks, push the bin over then fill the sacks and take to your recycling centre. YOu could be cheeky and just chuck them into the 'non recycling' skip.
Assuming you have a car.0 -
Empty some of it out until it is not as heavy , Cut the lawn and put on top of the soil in the bin , (they will empty it now) then over the next few weeks add a little soil each time .:beer:Pure Dog Loving0

The gardener cannot remove the waste unless he has a waste transfer licence.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

Although this is often free to obtain, certainly for jobbing gardeners, it's also a great excuse: "Sorry mate, I ain't got a waste transfer licence....."
It's also unwise to let anyone unknown to you remove waste, because so much ends up dumped in the countryside. This is not surprising when the minimum fee for trade waste is so high at disposal facilities.0
