virgin media contract

Last April I signed an 18 month contract with Virgin Media,
The rep came to my home, and sorted the paper work that needed sorting, at that time the rep told me that the payments would be £65 a month.
I agreed to this payment because that is what I could afford, I asked the rep if the payments would go up anytime after the first year and he said no that would be the payment I would pay.
One year later Virgin Media took £92 out of my bank account, I phoned Virgin Media and told them what the rep had said, and the man on the phone was very rude and called me a liar.
I phone the rep and spoke to I think maybe it was his wife, and from what she said it sounded like this rep had been telling people lies.
The way this chap explained things he said the payments would stay the same.
I am disabled my husband is my carer this £92 has made us g into our overdraft limit
The person spoke to at Virgin Media said we went into a contract with the payment going after 12 months but I could not read the small print on the contract because my eyes are failing it is an 18 month contract so for the next 6 months I will be getting further overdrawn with my bank,
I was with Sky for about 15 years and decided to go over to Virgin Media to try and save a bit of money.
Sky has often been in touch with offers, to get me to go back with them, I would like to go back to sky but still got 6 months left on a contract with Virgin Media .
Can anyone offer any advice please
thanx for reading

You can go back to Sky by paying off the remaining months of your VM contract .
It is not unusual for an 18 month contract to have an offer on the first 12 or 6 months .
I just wonder if this guy actually worked for VM . Guess you also have no evidence re the claims he made .
£65/ £92 is a lot what services do you have .0 -
It normal for the price to go up after 12 months with VM.
Sadly their sales people are liars, both reps and over the phone.
You could try being nice to them and saying you can't afford it etc... and why.
No point in cancelling as you will still have to pay it, and get no BB for that money.
The only hope you have is if they write to you tell you they are putting their prices up, you will have 30days to get out of the contract.
I think the prices usually go up in the autumn0 -
Your first mistake was sadly even letting the rep into your home, you're probably paying double what people can easily get with a bit of nagging on the phone.0
