Again there is a banner all over the Forum advertising an event on twitter, again there is no way for a non twitter user to participate in this event.
The only conclusion that I can come to is that the Forum is closing down and MSE want everyone to join them on twitter instead.
MSE boast of no advertising on their site and yet they continue to advertise events on twitter which is a completely different platform that does carry advertising.
When do non twitter Forum users get to participate in events live like those advertised on the Forum pages?
We can post on the Forum just as quickly as twits can on their platform.
Just because Martin Lewis is a twit does not mean the rest of us are.

The forum has had over 3000 posts today already it isn't going anywhere.
Do you also complain when a competition is in a magazine but not ALSO your newspaper?
Different media exist, with a different demographic. Makes perfect sense to appeal to both independently...
Nothing to see here ... If you ask me ...Hello There. :beer:0 -

The vast majority of those will be accounts that have never posted at all or accounts that came to answer one question and left.
I imagine 99.9% of the userbase is responsible for <1% of the posts on this site.
Which is fairly normal.
I don't think you (the royal you, I know I'm not quoting thee who said it :-) ) can suggest anything with >7000 posts on any average single day is dying, full stop.
Many forums were killed off by Facebook but that just wouldn't happen for something on this scale... And certainly twitter won't kill a forum such as this..Hello There. :beer:0 -
I don't use Facebook or Twitter, never will so I suppose a few of us will be cut off."Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety". - Benjamin Franklin0

For sure you are not allowed to post honest replies in case you upset members! These forums are heavily censored.
I know a lot of posters with many years experience have either been banned or have walked away,0 -
Hi torbrex, and everyone else

We've been running Twitter Q&As for several years now, on the @mse_forum and @MoneySavingExp twitter accounts.
We want to help people save money whichever social media they choose to use, whether it's here on the Forum, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, G+ or Pinterest. We're letting you know via the announcements so you can join in too if you want to.
We've run Forum Q&As in the past too eg with the government's Cyberstreetwise, with UK Parliament and with MP Drew Hendry on Fuel Poverty. If we run any more on the Forum we'll be sure to announce those too.
Andrea

All I know is that there is an intrusive banner advertising something all over the Forum which has nothing at all to do with the Forum.
This on a site that claims to carry no advertising.

I do use Twitter, but mainly to contact companies or shoot my political mouth off
