    Not saying that you have, but if you drop your phone in a bucket of water and dry it out then it would also look in perfect condition.

    That's not true, there is a liquid contact indicator in iphones which show if its been water damaged

    Yup, inside the phone. Not visible from the outside which I was talking about.

    i contacted ee and it has gone from there is absolutely nothing they can do to they could send it off for repair however it is going to cost, which could cost more than buying a new phone.

    The only way you can get EE to do anything is to get a written report from an expert that says the phone has an inherent fault, and hasn't been damaged. Without that, EE can keep stalling as long as they like.

    The alternative is to get a new phone.
    If it sticks, force it.
    If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
