consumer rights : problem with apple and ee

i have no idea what to do!
my iphone 6 decided about a day ago that it no longer wanted to work it wouldnt turn on, it wouldn't charge, it wouldn't do anything. i contacted apple and they told me to contact ee and then ee said it wasn't up to them, however apple have said that it is up to ee due to my consumer rights and that i am within my contract that it is now up to them to replace my phone, but ee said that i would have to pay £300 to cancel my contract. i would like to know if anyone has been in this situation or knows what i should do, i just seem to be going around in circles not getting anywhere.

Who did you buy/get the phone from?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
they mentioned cancelling it as apparently it was my only option, i purchased the phone off them.0

How long have you had the phone?0

since the end of march last year, i am 1 month and a couple of days out of my warranty with apple however i am in a 2 year contract with ee which doesn't finish until march next year.0

As its over 6 months old, the onus will be on you to prove the item is inherently faulty.
You can do this by paying for an independent report which if it does turn out to be an inherent fault, you can present this to EE for a free remedy and also a refund of the report. The remedy could be repair, refund or replace.0 -
how would i go about getting a report done, i have raised it as a case with apple which have all the information and have said would be happy to provide.0

Go to a local mobile phone repair shop and ask if they carry out independent reports. Remember it must be an inherent fault to have any comeback to EE.
Have Apple inspected your handset?0 -
apple looked at it and said the only fault is that it wouldn't come however the handset was in perfect condition which proved that it was an inherited fault.0
