Emergency aisle seat on plane required due to tallness

Hello

I am 6'7" tall.

Ideally- I need an emergency aisle seat to accommodate my long legs to travel to fly to Asia this summer.

It seems only Emirates are prepared to offer assistance for me and NOT charge me to be seated in economy class in an exit row.

Are there any other airlines that might understand my difficulty and not add a cost for seating me in Economy class with more legroom pitch?

airlines operate as a business, they can get additional revenue from selling exit seats or keeping them back for their elite members (e.g. BA will allow Gold card holders to have exclusive access to exit seats up until 14 days before departure, after which time they would be made available for sale (if any left))
Have you considered starting our journey outside the UK, you may find premium fares at a more acceptable price than from the UK

Being 6'6" I wholeheartedly sympathise with you, but being tall isn't a condition and 6'7" people can fit in standard economy seats, albeit with discomfort (though who really finds them comfortable!).

Emirates will not reserve exit-row seats - you need to request one at check-in. If it's crucial for you to have an exit-row they're probably unsuitable as you'd be risking not getting one (though you can arrive at the airport ridiculously early to try and mitigate that). You'd therefore be better off using one of the airlines that does charge for it, so you can reserve it in advance. I'm not aware of any that will assign you an exit row seat in advance and not charge for it, but know Qatar offer them for free (they're pretty hard to get though as they're prioritised for status holders and appear for selection at a random time online, so could easily be taken before you see it).

I'd second the suggestion above to look for premium seats from the continent. If you need help list some dates and destinations.

Of course it's not unheard of for people to book just the seat they want only to arrive at the airport & find they are sitting somewhere else entirely.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

I'm a tall guy myself but it never even occurred to me that it was the airline's responsibility to provide me with extra legroom free of charge.

In adition to the point above regarding Emirates only allocating at check in, it would also only be for the first flight to Dubai. You would have to request it again in Dubai for the onward flight to Asia, and they could all already be gone by then.

You ask about other airlines but give no indication of where you can fly from, so it's a bit difficult to give relevant advice.
