Good morning,
I'm shortly reaching the 1st anniversary of dating my lovely gf, any ideas on a nice gift(s) for her to celebrate the occasion?

If you start this then every little anniversary could become an occasion for giving a present. I wouldn't do it. Perhaps a meal out though.I am not a cat (But my friend is)0

I find it more of female thing remembering these dates and wanting to do something about them, I never bothered for stuff like this as do not feel the need, Plus she wants for nothing anyway her words not mine.0

I disagree with Stevie-If it's a significant relationship then most women would be thrilled at a special gift marking it (and quite chuffed you are romantic enough to remember and want to mark the date)
Something she can keep or maybe add to with subsequent anniversaries -(I'm no fan of Pandora bracelets personally but many people are and they fit the bill for example) or something you know she'd like but would never buy for herself ......or maybe just a weekend away with romantic trimmings. You know the girl and we don't so after a year you know what would make her smile !I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -

So buy the damsel a plant. With roots. A small container plant, flowery or fruiting - whichever would appeal.
It's recognition of survival & hopes for ongoing growth & when you're financially challenged you can always give seeds or cuttings...
Say it with flowers (or whatever) With Roots!0 -
Forget buying a thing, instead spend the cash on a nice picnic for you both by the sea and if there's spare, a night at a B&B/dinner. Mark the occasion as opposed to it being another 'buying stuff' opportunity (like Christmas and birthdays will always be)0

I actually like that idea! A plant is a nice, not to OTT gift with a bit of sentimentality to it. As long as she's not someone who'll read too much into it when it inevitably dies. :cool:0 -
