Mumof2 I thinks that's a great attitude and any reduction in sugars is going to be beneficial to you as you're all ready experiencing. It must be murder if you have a sweet tooth - I don't envy you that.

You're lucky your hubby participates, mine isn't into it and I still cook him potatoes etc and he likes wholemeal bread etc. He does enjoy the protein element and veg of the meals though, especially if I'm creative with spices and herbs. He loves having a jar of peeled hardboiled eggs to snack on mind. Much better than a packet of crisps or cake hehe

I try to be stricter with what's actually a "lazy" keto diet as it effects my wellbeing so much. I too suffer from a mood disorder and fibromyalgia and it's really helped me eating like this, so I'm well motivated.

It doesn't feel strict when I'm on it as I get to eat delicious things like bacon :o

Thanks for the thread - I've planed my first week of meals already and should be back on the wagon from today!

I definitely feel healthier in myself for being more careful about what I eat. Unfortunately I do suffer from mental health problems and I find my mood is definitely better when I eat better.
Tell me about it! I can't say whether it was mood driving sugar craziness or the other way round, all I know is that I wouldn't think twice before reaching for something see whenever I felt stressed (which is far more than I thought).

Luckily, a 300ml pot of single cream keeps bad cravings at bay. (Eta: that lasts me a week).

For the last 3 weeks I've cut right back on sugar and also given up chocolate. I had noticed recently that when I binged on chocolate, the next day I had really bad mood swings. This has improved now I've cut it out. As someone with a massive sweet tooth I haven't given up sugar completely as if I try too much too soon I will fall off the wagon.
I've also given up ready meals which I relied on too much before, and I want to cut back on the amount of bread and potatoes I eat. It's a lot to do but I'm feeling positive :)
How is everyone else getting on?

    Well done!

I actually went back to sugary treats in December, but nowhere like before. I shall eliminate again from tomorrow :A

Sugary and carby things have been my downfall these last few weeks. They are delicious but so addictive but honestly make me feel like sh*t eh awful. Rather stupidly the more I have the more I crave and want them.

For me I think it is a total NO policy.
