    Hi

Can you give me the email address? I have had a next account since about 1990 and as i was a student there was no way i wouldve been able to claim anything

    Thank you

You just need to complain to Next directly about it, however as it was 1990 it was a long time before regulation started so they'll dismiss it, then you can try Phoenix/Groupama

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I submitted my complaint to Pheonix group at the end of September - my complaint was upheld and i have just been made an offer for settlement - expecting the cash in my bank a/c within 10 days. Lovely sum over £3k!!!!
  • I too have just received an offer from Next!
To be paid into my bank within 10 working days £4k!
PPI added to my account in 1991 without my authorisation.
    Happy days

    Hi,

I used to have a next account (has been closed fir 5years ish) I definitely had PPP/ PPI with it and have complained before to be told that they didn't come under the same regulations. How do I now complain as it's outside the 5years covered by the SAR?

That's a rather jumbled set of sentences!

Doing a SAR is nothing to do with complaining about PPI, you don't need to do one to complain, if they have your records, holding a copy yourself is pointless
There is no period "not covered" by an SAR - it's literally a request for everything they hold, if they don't hold it, they can't send it
You need to complain to the underwriter as per several comments above

Thank you Nasqueron, I know what I was trying to say but it didn't come across very well!

I have read the above posts do I need to complain to Next first or do I go right to the Phoenix group?

You complained to next already who rejected you do now try the underwriters mentioned above. The fact you already complained and got rejected might mean a time bar is in place depending how long ago the rejection was but nobody will know until you try so might as well send it, better to have loved and lost than never loved no?

I'll get the letter sent today. I don't suppose you or anyone on this thread has an email address?

Also is there a standard template letter to send?

I found the address below which was given by someone on MSE this year

    The Phoenix Group,
    PA(GI) Ltd,
    1,Wythall Green Way,
    Withall,
    Birmingham,B47 8WG

Depending when the account was taken out it'll be them or Groupama. You might do better speaking to the FOS first though they might have more up to date details.

Don't use templates, just send the FOS form
