Keeping 999 score whilst renting

Hi,
I have decided to boost my saving capacity for a mortgage by moving from a £1200/month (+ bills) rental to renting a room for 6months at a friends house for £500/month (all inclusive).
My current credit score on Experian is 999. What tips can you give me to keep it that way?
At the moment all of the bills are on my name. When I move to the new place I will in effect have no bills in my name. I am concerned that if I go 'under the radar' for 6 months it may impact my ability to get a mortgage. I addition to the move I have also:
- Cancelled my mobile contract 2 years ago and use PAYG which works better for me.
- Over the last 8 years I must have moved at least 7 times whilst I was studying then career change etc.
- My friend also has debts and I am very keen in not having his credit history associated with mine.
I am considering the following:
- I will ask for my name to be added to the council tax and electoral roll.
- Obviously change address with my banks.
Should I consider asking to take over one of the utility bills such as Water or Electrics?
Thanks!

Your score means nothing so ignore it, transfer accounts to the new address an get on the electoral roll. Probably worth maintaining a credit card too. You are only impacted by others credit if you have a joint account.0

check your credit score on clearscore .
They rate you from zero to 700 .
With experian I had a credit rating of 999 .
I moved house three years ago .I have no mortage (Just applied for one )
I have a £6000 loan ,a credit card with £40 debt .
Clearscore gave me a rating of 495. I was a bit allarmed ,but I still got a mortage in principal this week.
The 999 or 700 means nothing .
For a mortage they will look at your debts and other outgoings ."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0 -

You can't be added as a liable person on the council tax bill as you have no council tax liability for the property.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0 -
I hereby award you a lifetime credit score of 1001 on the lovinit scale.
There you go - that's as useful as the other credit score you're referring to!0 -

Sigh!
Credit scores are indicative of your ability to obtain credit. No one, not even the CRAs, are claiming they are accurate. No one is saying that lenders take the scores and use them, not even the CRAs are saying that. Everyone knows only you get to see the score, but - that score has been determined by an algorithm devised by the CRAs and it is indicative!!! If you've got a score of 999 and your mate has a score of 100, I'd bet a penny to a pound of the brown stuff that you'd get credit and he wouldn't.0 -
