I have an unlocked iPhone which I currently use on the iD network.
I'm off to the states next week. I have a new unused 3 sim. Can I top this up online and use the "feel at home service" when in the states, or do you need to have been a 3 customer for a fixed period before hand?
Thanks

Three say you need to convert it into an add on so it can be used when away but if you don't you will benefit from lower roaming rates.
Link http://www.three.co.uk/Discover/Phones/Feel_At_Home#allowance-details it's about half way down the page.
Yes you can top it up online, I did the same and converted x amount into an add on.
Hope it helps0 -

If you don't convert it to an add on then you pay much the same payg rates as you do at home. See http://www.three.co.uk/Support/Roaming_and_international/Roaming_abroad0

Think I'll go for the £10 add on as my DH will want to phone the kids back home most days.
Thanks again for the advice0
