trouble contacting BT

Options
Hello,
I'm trying to sort out a BT internet package for my father. My father has tried to sort this out himself but is unable to contact BT due to their ridiculous phone service.

I have tried contacting them myself but was on the phone for an hour without getting a response.
How the heck to I contact BT and just talk to a simple sales advisor to talk about connecting my pensioner father to a landline?

I thinks its disgusting how BT are just abusing its customers in this way.

I'd take this as a huge warning sign and go elsewhere.
  • I am absolutely disgusted and horrified with BT. I just checked on my father’s order. They have not only cancelled his order but they have also taken payment for the cancelled order and NOT refunded any of it.
All my father wants is a simple telephone and broadband package, that why he went to BT. This company prides themselves on communication, however they are unable to perform a simple order. Now my father is both out of pocket and without phone or internet.

BT should hang its head in shame for the way they not only treat their customers, but also pensioners who more often than not are vulnerable people.

We are no looking around to try and fix this.

When you do speak to them can I suggest you cut the dramatics? Abuse, disgust, horrified? They've messed up, explain the problem in non emotive terms and how you would like them to put it right.

If you Google BT complaints you'll find a leaflet that gives several methods of contacting them.

We've been having problems with broadband since November 2015 (it is now May 2016). Frequent calls to BT India, several visits from engineers, and 2 online complaints. Couldn't get to speak to anyone in BT who could do anything to help (just stuck to their checklist). Eventually I contacted our local MP. A month later BT did actually contact me. I can't say the problem is fixed yet, but at least I can now speak to one person, not a variety of people who cannot deviate from their checklist.
