What vacuum cleaner should we get

You need to say what you're trying to achieve with your vacuum cleaner for others to give information that's pertinent to your situation.
Somebody living on a farm with 4 dogs and allergies would be different to somebody living in a 2 bed flat in a town that's got no pets or allergies.
My vacuum cost me about £25 from Lidl. I turn it on, it sucks up muck. I'm happy with the job it does.
Where did the figure of £200 come from?0 -
Ive had uprights (dyson, hoover, panasonic) and now have a henry. I like to power of the henry but it hard work and all the bits need storage and are a pain to put together. Uprights ate quicker and easier to use, imo.
Do you have pets, or have children. That would influence my choice. Ive bad a vac before and it was awfu-no suction. Wouldnt trust the brand again.0 -
Sorry meant to say 'vax' not vac. Also consider soze of your house and stairs etc.0

The dyson I have is the cordless absolute, it's worth over £400 with the kit it came with, I won it thankfully as would never pay anything like that, it has a 20 min charge which is enough to do a quick whizz around, very powerful and light.
Though for a proper clean nothing I have had has beaten my Miele.
As said above no one can advise you unless they know what type of house, flooring, lifestyle ie dogs, kids etc.#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
I got a Henry when my trusty upright Panasonic died. Cannot get on with it. Far too heavy and cumbersome for me.
It now lives in the garage and I bought an upright Hoover which I am pleased with.0 -
I love my Dyson DC24 animal (small, easy to manage but still sucks!) and I have a hand held dyson for those small localised jobs. They fit my needs perfectly.0
