<<I wouldn't recommend it as it isn't a responsive theme and can't be made one.
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/mobile-solution-for-atahualpa-3712

A non responsive page will give a poor experience on mobile devices which make an ever increasing proportion of traffic these days and be ranked poorly by google.

BTW it was spelled incorrectly the theme name is atahualpa - no l >>

You're right on the spelling, but wrong on the responsive. There are weidgets available to handle those concerns

If you take a look at setting up a Wordpress site and think it is beyond you, you could try some of the site builder services that are available. You may find them more intuitive and setting up the hosting/domain name etc. is all done for you.

Their templates are all responsive, i.e. will display properly on a range of different types of device such as smartphone, tablet, laptop, desktop etc., as has been mentioned elsewhere as a definite requirement.

You pay a monthly fee, but that also gets you technical assistance in getting things up and running.

The ones I'm aware of are wix.com and squarespace.com, but there are others available.
  • Totally agree about Wordpress. For hosting you need a linux platform and a MySQL database. WP is also very good for SEO. There are a number of good SEO plugins you could install. E.g. Yoast

I actually came to prefer Concrete5 as a framework over WordPress. It's not as well supported, and can benefit from being a bit more technical, but I rather like it. Worth a look for anyone curious.
