Hi there,
I recently had my Lufthansa flight from Edinburgh to Frankfurt cancelled. I was contacted via email the previous day giving only information that it was cancelled due to strike and that we were to call them. I called and was on hold for 3 hours, It was resolved with a rerouted flight that landed 4 hours after my original flight and had a connection in Copenhagen. I understand that a cancellation due to strike is under inordinately circumstances but surely this airline must give further notice to cancellations and not by email?? Please assist if anything can be done. This circumstance ruined our holiday! Thank you!

If it was a strike by Lufthansa you may have a claim and should read the thread related to Lufthansa https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4395437
if strike by ATC etc no claim0 -
Whilst it makes no difference to your potential claim, what further notice do you think should have been possible?0

Lufthansa thread please, not yet another personal thread.....If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide
The alleged Ringleader.........0 -
Sorry, I just presumed its own thread would reach more people as I'm sure it's a question that's valid to any airline. Maybe just ignore a thread you can't help with instead of pointing out the inconvience of the query!0
