Increase ring time on mobiles
I understand you can increase the ring tone time on your mobile by entering certain codes eg
EE – **61*07953222222**XX#
Giff Gaff –!**61*443*10*XX#
O2 –!**61*901*11*XX#
(Which? Tech Daily 14/02015)
My girlfriend is on Tesco PAYG can anyone tell me if they use the same code as O2? Do you know what extra time it gives.
A comment on Which? reply section stated that 'The code for Tesco appears to send all calls instantly to voicemail,' but a follow up comment two weeks later stated that it worked for them.
I'm reluctant to change the settings on anyone else's phone in case i get it wrong or the code is incorrect
Can anyone advise me is the Tesco PAYG code the same as the O2 code and just in case you make a mistake, it shows an error code or goes direct to voicemail how do you revert to the normal setting
As always many thanks
Kevin

You can always turn off voicemail, they can ring back or text instead.
**61*905*11*XX#
change XX to anything between 20-300 -
I agree, voicemail is just a nuisance, any person can ring you back if its important or you can see the missed call0

Ditto. Switch off voicemail. That's what I did with my Giffgaff phone.
You'll see a missed call if the phone was switched on, they'll call again if important, or send a text. It costs you to pick up voice messages on PAYG accounts.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. I have switched off Tesco voicemail on several occasions before travelling overseas. I do this by dialing 2915 as per Tesco's instructions.
However, for whatever reason it seems to have a habit of turning itself back on again.0
