Economy 7, worthwhile?

Hmm. You certainly don't need the storage heater input set at maximum at the end of April. If it's not automatic, maybe set around one third to one half of max setting.0

Economy 7 is nearly always best if your storage heaters are connected. Storage heaters work on a timeswitch connected to your meter. As such they heat up during the night when you also get 7 hours cheaper electric sometimes a quarter of the daytime price. Also if a single rate meter was fitted without disconnecting your storage heaters internally it can sometimes leave customers with no heating or hot water as its not connected to a timeswitch anymore. You may be able to agree a pseudo rate. This is where a compnay leave the 2 rate meter in but bill you on a single rate. I would ring your supplier quickly as your meter is blank display so no meter reads are being recorded. This means they will manually estimate you for elec used based on the typical consumption at that property and will not be 100%accurate. They are allowed to do that so ring and get your meter changed to avoid any issues.0

Yes, I've spoken with them and they are replacing the meter, they've advised they will initially estimate for the period before the meter comes in but will adjust this based on providing some meter readings after some use has been recorded.Bought, not Brought0
