If you want AP markers removed you have to prove they are incorrect and it is not a true reflection of your payments. You can put a note of correction on the file but that would mean explaining why payments were missed which could lead to the need to mention payday loans.
As for what they see this is taken from the Experian website
The credit report you see is more comprehensive than the one lenders look at (with your permission of course) because only you see the actual names of your current and past lenders.
They will have relied heavily on what you told them and while some companies may dig deeper. others will rely on figures given.Aiming to make £7,500 online in 20220 -
I do sympathies somewhat with you on this.
Catalogue companies are notorious for granting credit without too many background checks, granting credit to people on benefits, not bothering to get credit agreements signed, the list goes on.
Other pitfalls, are the high interest deals they offer, "buy now pay later" is another money spinner for them, and lastly the fact there systems run on a 28 day cycle, instead of a monthly cycle (most people are paid monthly) another money spinner in late fees, then over limit charges, talking of credit limits, after a few on time payments, they tend to upp the credit limit considerably, then bombard you with offers to get you to spend.
I don't tend to take the moral high ground where debt is concerned, no one knows another persons circumstances, catalogue companies employ EXTREAMLY aggressive marketing campaigns, equalled only by there excessive debt collection practices, the very nature of the way they do Buisness will catch a lot of people out, and they know this.
A large portion of there profits are from default charges and interest, don't beleive the guff your told about "wanting to help", they want you to be in debt to them, they need you to be in debt to them, otherwise your not making them money.
This is how the majority of financial businesses work, time people woke up to that fact, we are the ones been used here, all this moral high horse nonsense just shows how nieve people really are to the facts.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. I have recently closed my account downsent a letter with final payment and asking to close. I was actually in the clear with them even though I had ap markers I could still use them afterwards.
I have contacted them more than 6 times saying my account and score are still showing as active after 2months notice.. They said oh yeah it will change but it made me laugh as they update my report every month now it's so hard for them to settle it.
And did you know if you unsubscribe to their emails. It states 28 days for removal and in thst time they absolutely went mental offering me all sorts of deals and discounts finally got an acknowledgement the account is now closed 2 months after requesting.
I also just checked my report and it states I owe them £39 apparently total bs. I paid £96 over paid I emailed them to say I had overpaid and I'd like a refund of £57 quid to which they gave me and assurances the account would be closed. looked at my report both accounts still active and £39 balance.
Hmmmm am gonna have to get crazy with them0
