Rather off topic but you'd be surprised at how much power you'd get if you had a high vis jacket on:

Back on topic. As above if you have a receipt from Europcar there's not a lot they can come after you for, if however you have a receipt for a fella called Dave your friend is up the creek.0 -
I fear no receipt was given...0

LOL. I recently had a very large order from a corporate client called Dave and he was from **********. I must admit I was very nervous and had to do credit checks and all sorts of other security checks to make sure he was a legit buyer.0 -
For what's it's worth, I returned a hire car to the same company at London city airport, same situation, guy with pen and clipboard, no return receipt/documentation. I was a bit uneasy with their process but luckily nothing had come of it.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0

this is horseshit, they need to give documentation. I bet they would never let you take a car out before signing something and retaining a copy of it.0

I have used Europcar before and had the same call - it was just someone from a call center checking if I had dropped the car off - the guy at Europcar who I had gave the keys to must not have done what he need to do on the system to book it back in - I can understand why they need to ring you, but its unprofessional when you have returned the car in good time and everything is OK.0

Is it horseshit? I probabaly drive a hire car half a dozen times a year , I rarely get a signed receipt on return, often I don't even return to the hire company direct0
