Hello,
I am now 27 and starting to get male pattern baldness. Any one got any advice or treatments you have tried to help to reduce the affects?
I bought finasteride from Superdrug but I haven't taken any as we are trying for a baby in September and the side effects may cause some issues.
I realise it's part of getting older. I have already visited my GP and they didn't seem that helpful or sympatehtic but suggested a Thyroid test.
My Dad still has a full head of hair.

I think the only thing you can do is, to stop it getting worse ,, ive used biotin tablets and its worked.. but you have to keep on taking it all the time and the results yo can see take 3 months to kick in ..good luck mate..

If it's genetic, rather than caused by something like a hormone problem, then you just have to accept it, though it took my husband 30 years to do so.0

Easily done in two simple steps.
1)Number one all over every Sunday morning.
2)Get on with life.0 -
It does save time washing your hair, as you an wash your head at the same time as your face.0

My husband went bald although his father never did. So did his brother.
It is genetic through his mother's side.
My son has a very full head of hair with no sign of baldness.0 -

Or buy a decent electric shaver and run it over the top as well as the face every morning.
If baldness is something to worry about the rest of your life must be pretty good.0 -
Just accept it, worrying over things you cannot change is a route to an early grave0

In this video interview, Patrick Stewart is asked about the topic. He recalls a reporter asking the question to Gene Roddenberry."Surely by the 24th century, they would have found a cure for male pattern baldness?" And Gene Roddenberry said "No, by the 24th century, no one will care".“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

There are a great many scams out there, from companies who prey on the vulnerable & the desperate, knowing that because it is an embarrassing subject then victims are unlikely to speak out publicly against it.
Don't get suckered in by claims of revolutionary hair replacement procedures ... they're just hairpieces. Similarly, don't get fooled into believing that laser can regrow your hair.
Drugs are often better at helping you keep your hair rather than regrowing & restoring it, although some people do report good results.
Totally understand your concerns, but I've found the difficult way that the best way to deal with hair loss is acceptance and to keep your hair cut short.0
