  • First off, check with TCB to make sure that the cashback is available for Infinity and not just standard broadband. There was an issue a couple of months back when I was looking when Quidco/TCB stated cashback for BT broadband and then went on to say it excluded Infinity.

Why not stay with BT for 12 months and then switch again/negotiate a better deal?

I'm moving into a new property. My current connection is Virgin cable which is not available in my new area.
  • Please read my post. You've done all of the leg work and I've switched from Plusnet to BT and aside for the odd issue during the switching process, both have been fine.

Why do you need an 18 month contract as opposed to 12? Why not stay with BT for 12 months and then switch again if you're going to be paying more with Plus Net?

Plusnet only offer 18 month contract. All the negative feedback about BT on HUKD put me off but also understand there’s lots of users out there who don’t have any issues with BT.

How are you managing to get two cashbacks on the BT deal? What is Mastercard cashback? You would normally need to sign up for a deal from a link on the cashback site.

Not sure if TCB 'BT Broadband' includes BT Infinity anymore like another poster said.

The £100 is the BT Reward Card you claim after 30days.

BT, plusnets 38meg package only has 2meg upload,
not sure where you're looking but the 38 meg FTTC package has 9 meg upload

    and to the OP:

i'm on FTTC with plusnet right now, 38 down 9 up... translates to 4.2mb/s download (highest i've seen), and approx 1.0mb/s upload... had no issues with the line besides some phone line noise which in turn produced up to 3 router disconnects a day

i've just also renewed my contract and plusnet have sent out a new hub as the old modem+router is obsolete, the bloke on the phone said it was as good as the BT homehub 5 (which could be very good?) it sounded good anyway

    hope this helps

Please double check price with BT through TCB.
cashback is £121 with BB & phone.
BUT monthly cost for unlimited is £20 p.m. Not £12.50 p.m.

The higher upload is only available to those who were already on the package. It has since changed to 2mb upload for new customers and has been that way for around a year.
