Hi sorry if I have posted this in the wrong thread can any one advise me
I was contacted my an advertising company and sold a contract with them for 12 months to advertise on the appointment cards of' the sutton group medical centre', as they had a requested a hypnotherapist to be on their card.
I afterwards contacted' the sutton medical centre' and this is not the case at all. although I would be advertising on their cards, They leave it to the company to approach local buisness and have not specifically asked for a hypnotherapist.
I feel that I have been misled into believing the practice were suporrting hypnotherapist as a profession and would even suggest patients to 'look at the card' for help whist patients were on waiting list!!!!
I have a copy of the telephone conversation and still believe I have been mis led.
They will not cancel my agreement, even though I contacted then the very next day?
Is there not any cooling off notice for this sort of thing?
And surely they are not allowed to con people they way they have??
Thanks for any time taken to read this

There is no cooling off period for business to business contracts. You are expected to read the contact and do due dilligence before signing or paying any money.
The only likely way to get your money back would be in the small claims court. Proving you have been conned would be very difficult however it doesnt sound like they conned you, just a heavy sell.0 -
I am not an expert by any means but I would call that misrepresentation, if I were you I would put the cancellation in writing to them (keeping copies) stating your reasons you would like to cancel the agreement.
I would also at the same time get in touch with a solicitor or/and visit uk business forums .co .uk there are a few legal experts on there who may give a better insight into your chances.
Good Luck0
