Downloading Bills from Orange
Normally download each month as a PDF and have done since the start of the year. However noticed last month and also this month that it will not let me download as a PDF, but just offers a HTML file. When I go to open this is shows an error message. Anyone else having problems?

Could be a technical problem, didn't they recently send out notification that they weren't producing bills for customers on the old virgin tariffs if they were £0, if your bill was nothing then it might explain why you can't view it.0

Its been the same for me for over a month - always been on orange - spoke to my 'contact' in the exec office and they are aware of the problem and promptly sent me a FREE paper copy. Thought it owuld have been sorted by now but seemingly not. Will check carefully that they dont charge me for the bill!0

I've always been on Orange too.
I couldn't get the pdf download so rang asking for detailed billing. When they guy said I could d/l it online I explained that this wasn't working for me and as I couldn't make sense of my charges I needed detailed billing. He went away and came back saying there was a problem so I could have detailed billing for free.0 -
No problems here downloading the pdf invoice. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

There seems to be a problem with Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) and the downloading of bills, I think it is related to the information bar at the top that pops up asking you to click it to download the file. Once downloaded Acrobat can't open the file saying it is not the right format. The file I was trying to open was only about 6KB in size, compared to over 40KB for previous bills I have downloaded in the past.
I took a closer look at the file and it turns out to be a HTML error message received from the server, not an Acrobat .pdf file at all. I had to turn the IE information bar for file downloads off to get round this, now when I click to download I strait away get the open, save, cancel dialog box and when saved I can open the invoice and print my bill.
To turn the information bar for file downloads in IE7 off click Tools and then Internet Options, choose the Security tab and then click the Custom level... button, change the option in Automatic prompting for file downloads under Downloads from Disable to Enable.
