I'm assuming you're the same gemmajenkins0208 from other social media sites where you've been posting piccies of Monster energy drinks for months - that's some addiction.
Also, there's the odd piccie of tobacco or cigarettes too. Do you smoke?
You need to start right back at the basics and deal with the addictions to the !!!!py stuff and start eating veggies rather than chips and nuggets.

Wow! Is it normal to go in hunt of additional information on a person these days?0 -
Pensioned Off and New Me:
That's me alright! But for the record, I haven't posted anything for a while(last post that had something unhealthy in it was 1st May!)
But yes, now I'm kind of freaked out a little... I knew using the same username for everything was a bad idea! Not my fault I'm forgetful though! :rotfl:0 -

Earth to Gemma - when you post on social media you are posting to anyone and everyone who has access to the internet so I don't get why you're so surprised that someone joined the dots and figured out that you're a smoker, an addict to energy drinks and are probably not quite as dedicated to getting fit as you've been saying here.0 -
Gemma probably not a great idea to use the same username everywhere. As you see it attracts all sorts of judgemental nutters with too much time on their hands.
There was lots of support and advice from previous posters so hope it doesn't put you off. Best of luck with your plans0 -

It doesn't bother me, it's not like I post personal information everywhere so that someone can locate my house and come and do what they please.
You do make a valid point though
People probably look up other people all the time, but the freaky bit IMHO is the fact it was made known to me that I had been looked up elsewhere on the net.0 -

I like a good challenge, but you did not provide one. Without accessing any non-public, restricted or paid for services it took me longer to type this reply than to find out lots of details about you, including your full name, age, home telephone number, where you work and your address in fact everything that I would need to spoof your identity.
Or maybe I'm just making it up to make the point that you should be more careful about your on-line presence. Of course, there is the possibility that I found a completely different person that isn't you at all because I did search very quickly and not thoroughly at all, I don't want to "come and do what they please", so my motivation is low, however perhaps if I tell you that the last three letters of your postcode are "3HX", you can be the judge.
SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -
Good one StumpyPumpy, I know full well the dangers of posting personal info on the net.
But, like you, i doubt many people would have the motivation to actually hunt me down from a money saving forum. Maybe from Facebook or somewhere perhaps, but not so much around here.0 -
Maybe the partial post code could be removed now though, given the point has been made. Would have been more appropriate to do that in a pm to be fair.0

I was very careful in the way I presented the information to provide proof without adding to it. I didn't even say how I did it apart from that it was totally legitimate, easily available and at no cost. I see it all over these forums where people write in the misguided belief of anonymity when they are anything but. It needs to be put out in the open so that people can see how naive they are being.
There is nothing wrong with not being bothered that your information is easily available, as Gemma's subsequent post implies, as long as you are aware that it is. The danger is in the belief that the information isn't there and it is important that people who use forums such as this and others realise that sometimes they leave a breadcrumb trail behind (and often they leave whole loaves and big signs saying "Me ----> this way") without realising it.
I cannot write individual PMs to everyone who does this, there are too many, but the message needs to be spread. Hopefully others will see this thread and question their own exposure to the problem.
