In the example below I tick all five required boxes for excellent credit rating, but having been turned down in June by Capital One, I am expecting the same result on this application. They did a credit search on me on the day I applied so we shall just have to wait and see.

My husband received a letter today rejecting his application for this card. I presume the fact that he does not owe anyone any money, apart from £5000 to Morgan Stanley/Goldfish (a bt) and has no outstanding debts except for a mortgage, which is and always has been up to date, he did not meet their lending criteria.0

If memory serves, applicants who have been turned down by C1 in the preceding 6 months, are normally excluded. Perhaps this card is different.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
Well, that was quick. Received the 'unfotunately' letter this morning which leads me to believe that application was automatically rejected as I had only applied on Thursday. I had considered appealing but decided not to waste any more time. It would have been nice if I had been accepted but as I said earlier their decision is what I expected anyway. Good luck to all other applicants,
