BT accidentally cancelled my phone and broadband, because when l moved
home 4 months ago they didn't close down the account at my previous address.
So when someone new moved into my old address and requested broadband from another company. They cancelled my at my current address.
The first thing l knew about the cancellation is when my broadband stop working. After it stop working l got an email from about how much l own them
in cancellation charges.
I phoned them the next day after about 40 minutes on the phone BT finally workout what had happened. The man on the phone was very apologetic, but
said l would have to sign up to a new brand new contract which l was happy
to do,it was about £2 a month cheaper.
On that day l was told my broadband would back up in couple of days, that didn't happen, dates have been moved and changed. They have sent me two
new hubs which l don't need.l been told they need to send a engineer to my
home to change the line,it's their line. I've spent hours on the phone mainly
holding on with BT.
I finally managed to speak to a supervisor yesterday, after some calls she assured me my broadband would back up in 24 hours.
This afternoon l got a call from BT to confirm that l was cancelling my account.
Fed up with BT
