how long ago did you start using this new broadband service ... less than 10 days ago? ADSL Max changes its speed (or trains) to your phone line over the first 10 days. Disconnecting and re-connecting frequently can lower your profile, and give you a lower speed. If you use a router, and it doesn't get disconnected, then try rebooting it after 10 days so you can use an updated profile.
