If you're having a new lawn laid which requires watering until established, it's worth enquiring from whoever deals with your surface water drainage bill whether you can get a refund. A few years ago we did just that with Anglian Water, and got a healthy refund, due to the fact the water you put on the lawn isn't going down the drain!
