Read the sticky! This is quite normal behaviour from the jokers that infest this industry.

Personally, as a tenant I would be putting a bomb under my landlord/managing agent for letting these parasites loose on you and demanding they get it cancelled on your behalf.

It would also be worth checking your deeds to see if the space is included - If it is, your right of quiet enjoyment persists there too and again, your landlord/agent is required to see it is respected and you have redress if they don't

Thank you pogofish, yes I think I will chase up my landlord tomorrow. But I might need to pay them first and then complain later as I am actually in the middle of mortgage process I'm on valuation stage and I do not want this to affect my mortgage.

Hi coupon mad I had a bad experience with mortgage collector in the past and this put a great deal on my credit rating and stop me from securing a mortgage. So this kind of issue really freak me out. I just don't want to jeopardise my mortgage I'm nearly on exchange of contract x
