    Hello

Thank you all once again for your kindness.

I am now in a panic - just reading an article here about Whi$kas cat food. With my wee one I fed her wet in the evening and she had dry for throughout the day with water to the side.

Did I do wrong? Did I feed her badly? Did I kill her by only feeding her it. Feel so panicing now.

Really worried now - noticed a item about Bob Martin products.

I gave our wee girl a tiny bit of oil every day from Bob Martin - called ExmaRid.

Really feel sick now, feel I must be to blame. First giving her wiska$ and now this bob martin stuff.

    Help!

Well it sounds like you fed her properly by giving her some biscuits during the day. You also tried to keep her healthy. I don't know anything about Bob Martin but there must be thousands of people giving their animal this without any ill effects.

I can understand how you feel, everything plays on your mind. When my cat got run over I had asked my husband to park his van in a different place and I felt that she couldn't see what was coming because of it and that is why she ran out in the road. I also blamed us for letting her out and not keeping her as an indoor cat.

However, the truth is, as my children both said, you can't go on agonising about things and saying if only, because it has happened and you can't do anything about it. Its not your fault, you were a good Mum and your baby knew it and loved you. She had a good happy life and died happy. She didn't suffer. She had a forever home and people who loved her. A lot of pets don't get that.

All you can do is try to put all the distressing things out of your mind until you have got over to such an extent that you can think about the happy times. For me this took months. I couldn't think about her or look at her photo. I still can't look at her photo for long and I feel very sad when I think about her as it was a wasted life because she was so young and beautiful. If I think about that day I get upset. However, I can now reminisce about the things she used to do and smile. My point is, you may feel sad for a long time and that's okay, but please try to stop blaming yourself and realise that it was no one's fault. She just had some kind of weakness you could do nothing about.

Maybe in time you could get yourself another little tiddler to give you some comfort. That's what I did, with a cat similar in appearance but a different personality.
