    I bow to the greater experience. What i would say is they're associates can be a mine of information without going formal....

    I know they are typically helpful, but I just wouldn't want to play Russian roulette with a particular idea based on what one officer might say, especially when Class Q is relatively new.

    The more subsantially/traditionally built the barn, the better the chances of gaining approval, I think, but I've seen even Atcost and similar structures granted PP in the past year. Conversion allows a 'substantial' element of rebuilding.

    I also know someone who has gained PP for a modern bungalow after running a viable business for the time required and living in a mobile home. It's been a real struggle for them. The emphasis is on viable. A few cattle or sheep won't cut it, especially sheep!
