Relationship Breakdown - Broadband not in name

Hi folks,

Asking for a friend and would be grateful if you could advise.

Her relationship of many years has ended and not greatly.. he has left but much of the bills are in his name.. including sky broadband and tv.

She's trying to get it changed over but has had issues with Sky.. the problem is that he isn't helping and doesn't want to at this present time.
It's a hard and weird situation but would appreciate if anyone could advise on how she goes about getting it changed to her.

    If he won't talk to Sky and they won't talk to her, which they won't unless she passes security, simply call up and say that the previous occupier has left without cancelling and she is the new occupier and wants to start a new account. If he fails to cancel his sub then he will be chased for non payment, not her-she can provide Sky with a forwarding address.
    You don't 'change' the account, you start a new one. This also means that she will most likely get a better deal as a new subscriber.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
