Cutting out a single tile....

You will all be relieved to know that the tile came out OK with no collateral damage. Thanks for the advice. It was fixed with the normal tile adhesive (in lines). I though it would be much more difficult.Je suis sabot...0

Glad you sorted it, but a word of warning to others.
Do not use steam to try to remove tiles. If at any time the wall has been re-skimmed it's likely that pva will have been used. If it has and youwon't know until it's too late, it will be reactivated by the heat and moisture and you'll end up with more than the tile on the floor as it will blow the top coat off.
The tool needed is 1 of those multi purpose gadgets that occillate a grout removing blade, make life much easier.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
