AoD. Navy is perfectly fine for a funeral.
Well what was supposed to be an hour and half job on the car stretched to 3 hours. We came home and went to sleep.
Food shopping will have to wait.
I think we are in for the night now. Just as well, i have a few emails to type. My local MP is going to get it in the neck, so is the local councilor amongst others for not delivering what they promised 2 years ago.

AoD, I concur, navy would be fine.
I had a nana nap after DGD went home unfortunately whilst she was here I inhaled industrial quantities of sugar based foods in an attempt to keep awake enough to make Barbie clothes with her.
Speky, Horlicks is good but if I drink anything I'll just need the toilet more which would wake me up, that's the problem with being a female of a certain age, or in my case, way past a certain age!
I've managed to get 4 loads of washing dry on the line, this includes some uniform for DGS and I've tidied the living room, it still needs vacuuming so I'll do that in a sec. Tomorrow I'll clean my cooker after I've done the Sunday roast, I'm doing lamb.
I'm going to do some more on the blanket for DGD5, an excuse to sit on my arris on the sofa!

Oh the joys of ordering things on the internet, my new motor and fan for the oven came express delivery and arrived mid morning and the lads got fed up with putting fence panels in and turned their skills to my oven..... I am now fully working again!!! These menfolks is most useful and good at fixing things. Kitchen now smells wonderful as chilli is in the OVEN and also a blackberry crumble, well done those lads!0

Sounds like we all had a good day, apart from colds.
I've been in the garden most of the day. I did a bit of scarifying though I think the hand raking method is better than the machine. Then I turned my attention to burning some garden waste and mum's papers. Now I smell like a chimney. Whilst the burning was going on I cleared up loads of more dead things and bunged it all in. It's still smouldering along now though the flames have died down, I keep popping outside and do a bit more - it's addictive.
A friend called round with some tulips for me, such a thoughtful gesture. Now I need a shower and a cup of tea.
I hope the poorlies get better soon.0 -
The Internet ate my post.
I was thanking people for sartorial advice, my navy stuff is much newer than the black stuff that I wear day in, day out for work from laziness as I don't have to think about what goes with what.
Nobody will be looking at me, I do know but I don't want to be disrespectful to my aunt.
The mister is cooking, they are having pork fillet plus a little rack of lamb and I am having salmon.
It is fast approaching the moment when I shall pour us both a glass of wine, which I now realise I have been looking forward to all afternoon. Golly I am a tired old bat tonight.
Got bedding dry on the line and next lot whizzing round in the machine, I am washing-obsessed. I cannot believe how many lots of clothing my son gets through, he seems to change his clothes at the drop of a hstI was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
I left out thanking JackieO for her post about the holiday, I enjoyed that, and hope you feel better soon, well enough to visit your dear brotherI was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0

Jackie O glad you had a safe journey home and had such a fun week with your friend.
Just had a run out to a local carboot and then Longton for mooch round other charity shops. Unfortunately no bargains to be had today.
Looking forward to carboots really kicking off here. As I've got a list of stuff I'm looking out for.
Take care and hugs to those who need or want them0 -
