Odds are fibre with a different provider would be as cheap if not cheaper than your current connection as you appear to be on an expensive Connect connection.
Have you checked to see what the price difference would be or are you just assuming fibre will be more ?

Only if you're in their network area. And guess what? Anglesey isn't.
Our current package is £24.50 / month inc line rental, unlimited downloads and evening / weekend calls without having to remember to shop around every 12 - 18 months to avoid a mahoosive price hike.
Talk Talk aren't offering fibre in this area at all, and ADSL from them is likely to suffer from exactly the same problems.
EE will give 38Mb fibre at £27.45 / month inc line rental. Also charge £25 activation and £6 router delivery, which is an extra £1.72 per month over the 18 month contract for a total of £29.27 per month. Then jumps to £37.45 unless we start shopping around again. Unlimited data and weekend calls but no evening calls and their daytime call rates are higher than PO.
BT will give 50Mb fibre for £30.49 / month on 12 month contract, with a £49 activation fee + £7.95 delivery fee up front. That equates to an extra £4.75 per month over 12 months, so real cost is £35.25 per month. After 12 months jumps by an unspecified amount. Doesn't include calls, and their daytime rates are higher.
Sky will give 40Mb fibre for £27.40 / month + unspecified activation & delivery charges. Doesn't include calls, evening and weekend will add £4 for a total of £31.40 + installation costs. Goes up to £41.40 after 12 months. Also has a note in the small print that price may increase during your contract, which is worrying.
So, all of the above will end up as more expense for something we don't need or want. That's why we don't "just switch".0 -

So why don't you switch to BT broadband and get cashback e.g. here
new customer broadband only £105
new customer broadband & calls £131 + up to £125 BT reward card
What you are paying now may be cheap but it is unusable, so it is rather expensive!
EDIT: I believe that you are getting what you are paying for. The PO won't raise this with BT because they know that they are paying for a limited BTW product. You seem very reluctant to switch away from the PO but that may be the only answer.0
