corrugated asbestos garage roof replacement

Hi,
Looking at previous threads. A bit of advise needed please.

Asbestos Removal & Disposal of single garage
Installation of secondary waterproof breathable membrane
Replacement Plasticol Coated Galvanised Steel Roof - Sheets are full length (seamless) & felt backed. Total Cost £2070 (asbestos removal certificate issued). Will take one day. Guaranteed for 25 years. Is this reasonable or expensive-Jan 2019.

For a 16 x 8 ft garage I'd say expensive, for a 24 x 24ft double garage I'd say good. The felt and membrane are great or you get condensation drips inside the garage.

I had the 'expensive' option, did haggle and got it down a bit. The garage is extra long (workshop at back) and single width.

The felt to stop condensation is brilliant. New facia, guttering and drain pipe included. Old one didn't have guttering which added to its problems. The felt does work and is worth it. The 25 year guarantee is also good for me, peace of mind. All sorted in one day and asbestos roof taken away safely. Paid £1850 January 2019.

So impressed with the result that my neighbour has just ordered one. Bolton based company, but they work countrywide. I live near Holmfirth in West Yorkshire. When I moved here 3 months ago getting rid of asbestos was on my priority list. I have a cousin (plumber) who has mesothelioma. It is not worth the risk!
